Lit for Teens Jr will meet on Wednesdays from 1:15-2:15 EST during the 2024-2025 Academic Year.

Lit for Teens Junior is for preteens/teens, ages 12-15, grades 7-9.
Students
The emphasis in Lit for Teens Junior is on enjoying/discussing literature with peers!
Literature Guides will be provided by the instructor for most selections. These guides emphasize vocabulary, reading comprehension, plot, character development, and common literary devices. Students will be required to read from an unabridged edition for each selection.
Participants who are 12 or 13 must have a homeschool parent/adult at home and in the room during each Lit for Teens Junior class meeting to assist with any computer/technical difficulties and to ensure that the student is focused and not multi-tasking.
Students and/or parents are welcome to grade the assignments as we go over them each week in class; however, official grades will not be given.
Students
- must be 12 yrs by September 1, 2023.
- must be reading at a 7th grade level, or higher.
- must be able to stay focused and on task during class.
- must be willing to answer questions and participate in class discussions.
