Applied Math for Teens

This course covers the mathematics and mathematical thinking you will encounter in the everyday world:
It is recommended that students taking this course have completed Algebra 2,
Algebra 1 required. Students are expected to have a good attitude and a willingness to work. Practice makes everything easier. Applied Math for Teens is a high school math course worth 1 high school Math credit on the official homeschool high school transcript. This course is based on, similar to, a non-majors general education math course at the university.
All math classes are recorded and available to students. Homework is collected and graded weekly with individual comments. Tests are hand graded too.
Participants are required to have a TI-36X Pro calculator and the required textbook. Students must have a computer, webcam, headphones with a built-in microphone, a printer, and a way to scan and email completed tests to the instructor.
A course syllabus will be provided with a course schedule, the course description, and the course expectations. At the end of Applied Math, the instructor will provide a recommended course grade based on in-class work, quizzes, and tests.

- Geometrical Thinking,
- And Other Applications of Math in the Real-World.
